In what must surely rank as one of the worst major motion pictures of the past decade, this sequel manages to embarrass or offend several groups including gays, nannies, New Yorkers, Muslims and residents of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The basic plot is that Samantha (Kim Cattrall) gets an invitation to Abu Dhabi, and takes Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) with her. Unfortunately Samantha's disgusting behavior so outrages her hosts that the four women end up being kicked out of the emirate. This is truly a film without any redeeming social value. The script is uninspired, the direction is sloppy, and the bored actresses simply phone in their performances. Worse, none of them seems to have aged well; they have become caricatures of themselves. Stay far, far away from this terrible film.
