In the weeks following the wedding, Rachel and Luce grow closer as friends, and as their mutual attraction grows, so does Rachel's uncertainty and ambivalence toward her new husband. Then, when Rachel discovers that Luce is a lesbian, she begins to reevaluate her own sexual orientation.
The film offers excellent screenwriting, and subplots that support the main plot and propel the action forward. There is incredible romantic chemistry between Perabo and Headey, and Rachel's awakening to her true sexuality is similar to that of Heather Graham in Gray Matters. The film's London locations, production values and happy ending are all reminiscent of films written by Richard Curtis, particularly Notting Hill and Love Actually.
